Mitey Feathers Heavy Horse Leg Oil - 500ml Trigger Spray

Mitey Feathers heavy horse leg oil emulsion, suitable for the use in the feather of heavy horse breeds for the improvement of the condition to the hair and skin and the repellent of the Chorioptes Bovis mite (feather mite), including all biting lice and flying insects.

Suitable for all skin types, including sore, cracked heels and knees, an accumulation of thickened, crusted scale and scabs on the front and hind legs of horses; with antiseptic properties.

Emulsion – Ready for use.

Mitey Feathers nourishes brittle or damaged hair, leaving it conditioned and protected, which in turn leaves the feather in fabulous health and able to grow.

Mitey Feathers is loaded with natural oils, beneficial to the skin and hair, including Argan, Cedarwood, Rosemary and Basil oils, fruit seed extracts and Vitamin E.

Use Mitey Feathers to protect your cobs legs against the elements of harsh weather conditions which, may leave pink and sensitive skin irritated.

'Small amount needed, a little goes a long way'.

Directions for use: Ensure hair is dry and loose dirt, hair removed (no need to wash first) however, if the legs are muddy and wet due to weather conditions, hosing off the mud and towel drying the legs is fine or leaving your cob to stand hard ground or on bedding until the legs are dry.   Shake before use, use to trigger spray to apply approx. *100ml - 150ml of Mitey Feather (sufficient for four legs); and then brushing with a soft brush to give even coverage; apply by running through the hair in a back comb motion to feather, up to  the knees and ensuring application onto the skin and in the heel.  It is advisable to re-apply, twice in the first week and to leave in the hair for at least one week before shampooing out; we also recommend that you use our own Relax & Guard shampoo to wash out the Mitey Feathers when the time comes as it is purposeful.  Mitey Feathers maybe applied directly onto any skin complaints where an antibacterial barrier is required.

*It is recommended to apply the product on day 1, day 4 and day 11 where a mite infestation is present (please follow the link for the directions of use below); a minimum of Mitey Feathers x 1L is recommended for this purpose, as 150ml to 200ml should be applied to all four legs on a feathered horse and the Mitey Feathers x 500ml trigger spray for maintenance, short hair and to affected areas.
